I've been poking around, listening to old Hendrix interview footage, including on Dick Cavett - that was thee place for rock bands to hang on TV back in the day. In fact, the best footage in history of live performance on TV was on the Cavett Show. This one features Jimi with bassist and former fellow soldier Billy Cox (Jimi and he were Paratroopers) and the great and recently departed drummer Mitch Mitchell. The sound of a machine gun simulated in song. Brilliant stuff. Cheers, Jeff.
